Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar + Recipe

Don’t you just love when a Thursday is actually your Friday and you are about to embark on a much needed three day weekend? Yeah, I am definitely feeling it. I am also feeling a little run down if I am going to be honest. I have not been to the gym in three weeks, I have not been eating well, and in turn I have not been having the best night’s sleep recently. I know I posted a ton of things in regards to wellness and feeling your best in the month of January, and I am looking forward to continuing on that path in March. Let’s just say February didn’t happen okay?

So today I want to talk a little bit about the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar and how to incorporate it into your mornings. Apple cider vinegar has a TON of benefits.

First of all it balances your body’s PH. Your body’s PH is the balance between acid and alkaline in your body. To break that down, acidic foods include soda, wine, burgers, coffee, and even that carbonated water you are drinking. Alkaline rich foods include fruits, veggies, and even green tea. All those good things you want in your body. You need a good Acid/Alkaline balance in your diet to promote a healthy digestive system, circulatory system, and immune system.

It helps relive cold & sore throat symptoms. This ties in with the vinegar balancing your PH levels and promoting a healthy immune system. All good things!

It also promotes detoxification. This means that it helps rid toxins out of your body. Which is great for people who have had a February like mine…

So now how do I incorporate apple cider vinegar into my mornings? I have come up with an awesome detox drink to start your day with and kick start your body. Add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, ½ a lemon, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon into a glass. Pour hot water into the glass, and enjoy. You can even add a little bit of honey if you want some sweetness. It is that simple, and the benefits are endless.

Here’s to a happy and healthy March!

xx Casey
